We are excited to invite you to our Beginner to Intermediate Chess Class on the Club Level, led by our esteemed Leaders from the Mechanics Institute 

Event Details:

Beginners Lesson & Play 

Time:  6:00 PM-7:00 PM

You will listen to instructions for the first 30 minutes then play for the additional 30 minutes

Intermediate Players & Play

Time: 7:00 PM-8:00 PM

Our instructors will highlight more advanced moves to help you advance your game to the next level. 

Class Overview:

Whether you are a beginner or an intermediate player, this class is designed to help you learn and master the fundamentals of the Royal Game. Coach Marcie Yang will guide you through:

Basics: How pieces move and capture, castling, and en passant.

Advanced Strategy: Checkmating patterns, opening principles, middle-game tactics, and endgame strategies.

The Mechanics Institute’s goal is to open up a new world of fun and joy through the magic and beauty of chess. Join us and enhance your skills while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow chess enthusiasts.
