Flee tells the story of a man named Amin Nawabi, who is on the verge of getting married to his long-term boyfriend but feels a need to confront his dark and hidden past so that he can finally move on in life and have a future. The animation, story, and LGBT representation truly make this film astonishing and unquestionably worthy of its Oscar nominations.
