Based on the life and times of respected African-American cartoonist Keith Knight. Woke draws upon the absurdist and surrealist cartoon styles of Knight, creating a satirical comedy series that explores race and politics in especially pertinent in 2020. 

Keef (played by Lamorne Morris of New Girl) is on the verge of mainstream success, when an event changes his life forever. He’ll have to learn to navigate life with these unconventional changes, which often include being confronted by previously unheard voices that happen to be coming from animated inanimate objects!
