Sommelier Led Wine Tasting with Ranchos de Ontiveros Vineyard
Residents are invited to attend an exclusive Sommelier-led wine tasting with Ranchos de Ontiveros Vineyard on the Club Level 3rd Floor Terrace. A selection of three wines (2016 Rancho Vinedo Chardonnay, 2016 Native 9 Pinot Noir, & 2016 Ranchos de Ontiveros Cabernet Sauvignon) will be offered to Residents and paired with a selection of cheese and charcuterie offerings from The Fatted Calf.
Today, James Ontiveros is the ninth generation of Alta California Ontiveros’ still farming the same valley that generations of his family have called home. Their wines tell a real story about the durability of truth, the people, and the earth itself. Through the struggle of a cold windswept coastal desert, these vines reach for water and nutrients in the depleted earth. When combined with purposeful farming in the cool Mediterranean climate, Santa Maria bears fantastic raw product for winemaking. Their singular goal at Ranchos de Ontiveros is to make wine as complex as the story of how they came to be.
The tastings will occur in two one-hour sessions with a maximum of 20 attendees per seating. The first seating will occur at 1:30pm and the second seating will occur at 3:00pm allowing for a COVID disinfection and re-setting to occur in between. Residents are asked to RSVP with the Club Concierge with their preferred timeframe and guest list.
