Special Event: Angela Lee & Marc Teicholz Guitar & Cello Club Lounge Recital

FRIDAY, AUGUST 4 | 6 PM – 8 PM | OWNERS LOUNGE

Please welcome back by popular demand to our Millennium Tower Owners Club Lounge, Ms. Angela Lee, & Mr. Marc Teicholz, who will delight us by performing a guitar & cello duo recital just for you, your friends, and your neighbors here in the building.  

ANGELA LEE, cello-A graduate of The Juilliard School and Yale School of Music, cellist Angela Lee is a recipient of a Fulbright scholarship to study in London with William Pleeth, a grant from the Foundation for American Musicians in Europe, the Jury Prize in the Naumburg International Cello Competition, and a cello performance fellowship from the American-Scandinavian Foundation.

She is a founding member of The Lee Trio, which has commissioned and premiered works of numerous living composers. In its third decade, the Trio continues to perform worldwide, has recordings on Delos and Innova, and will release a new album of Finnis, Pulkkis and Schumann in the coming year. Using music to foster peace and goodwill, Angela Lee has made humanitarian trips to the Republic of the Philippines and the former Yugoslavia.

While on a U.N.-sanctioned tour of six war-torn cities throughout Bosnia-Herzegovina, she performed for NATO troops and displaced civilians. She is deeply committed to community outreach and recently performed at the street renaming ceremony for Vicha Ratanapakdee Way in San Francisco. As a member of Ensemble SF since 2022, she continues to explore an array of chamber music, allowing this art form to inspire and connect with others in unconventional settings.

In addition to coaching chamber music at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Ms. Lee serves on the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra Alumni Association Leadership Council and on the Board of Directors of The Resonance Project, which promotes empathy through live music in mediation settings and international conflict resolution.

MARC TEICHOLZ, guitar-Marc Teicholz won first prize in the 1989 International Guitar Foundation of America competition. He has toured extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Russia, receiving critical acclaim for his recitals and master classes.

Mr. Teicholz also has toured Southeast Asia under the auspices of the U.S.I.A. Artistic Ambassador program and has appeared as a soloist with orchestras in Spain, Portugal, California, and Hawaii. He currently records for Naxos and Sugo records. Mr. Teicholz graduated magna cum laude from Yale University. He received an M.M. from the Yale School of Music and a J.D. from the Boalt School of Law at the University of California–Berkeley. He serves on the collegiate faculty at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
