Who is Palette?
Chef Peter J. Hemsley and General Manager & Sommelier, Ja Sean Hall, will give us a behind the scenes look at what makes Palette extraordinary.
Cher Peter formerly worked in the kitchens of Alain Passard, Daniel Boulud, and Michael Tusk of Quince after studying at Le Cordon Bleu, Paris. He opened Palette in 2019, and this 8,500 sq. ft. space is a full-fledged restaurant and art gallery. Chef Peter will elaborate on the artistic aspect of Palette, as well as showcase local SOMA artists, and the unique event spaces Palette has to offer.
As the curator of the beverage program, Ja Sean Hall, formerly of the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, will lead the party by building Palette’s Sympathy with the Devil cocktail made with fire-roasted poblano infused tequila, mezcal, cynar, agave lime and mint! After the cheers, Chef Peter will walk us through one of his Cal-Coastal dishes, highlighting local purveyors Palette works with, and showing you how to plate-up the dish to impress! The session will end with Chef Peter and Ja Sean Hall answering any questions you have.
