In The Barrel: An Exploration of Spanish Wines with Jodi Sundermeier
THURSDAY, JANUARY 12 | 6 PM – 7:30 PM | WINE ROOM
Let’s meet for a night of exploration of Spain’s wine regions. With over 4,000 wineries, Spain is a land of wine. Many of the wines produced in Spain are well-known the world over. Spain’s unique geography and situation are responsible for the wide range of climates available throughout the country, giving rise to many different grape varieties that can be cultivated there. Vineyards stretch from the green, rolling hills of the north to the arid expanses of the south, and all the differences between them, from weather to the richness of the soil and the water, make Spanish wines so special and unique. The influence of the Cantabric Sea, Atlantic Ocean, and Mediterranean Sea play a very important role in the ripening of the fruit, and even the breezes blowing from them contribute to the differences between Spanish wines.
You will discover some wonderful places and routes that are not to be missed through wine on this night of new adventures!
