Re-Entering the Social Sphere – A Meditation Workshop Led by Malcolm Bowles

With the State reopening and people beginning to meet in larger groups, some people may need assistance with how they comfortably re-enter the social sphere and what reactions our minds and bodies experience during this change. This instructor-led workshop centers on body-mind awareness during encounters with larger groups and teaches some self-soothing techniques for handling anxiety or stress. The workshop will include both guided meditation and walking/seated meditation, with some discussion from instructor, Malcolm Bowles.

Malcolm Bowles is a student and teacher of yoga and meditation. He practices and teaches many types of meditation including shikantaza, walking meditation, guided imagery, and meditations to cultivate loving-kindness or metta, sympathetic joy, and equanimity. Malcolm’s teaching is deeply rooted in Zen tradition while remaining accessible and comprehensible to all.

Two one-hour sessions will be offered for this workshop with a maximum of 15 people per workshop. Interested Residents are asked to RSVP with the Club Concierge and request their preferred time slot.
